Searching for the Ultimate Freediving Holiday in Indonesia?
We think you’ve just found it!
If you have been searching for a freediving holiday in Indonesia, join one of the world’s leading freediving instructors Emma Farrell on the holiday of a lifetime as we travel to the Bunaken Dive resort and Spa on the beautiful island of Bunaken, nestled in the Bay of Manado, Indonesia. Here, in the translucent waters of the Bunaken seas, you can learn to freedive, or for those already experienced in freediving, explore the mesmerising underwater paradise of the Bunaken National Park on your tailored freediving holiday in Indonesia.
There are more than a dozen different species of coral reefs, with the fascinating vertical coral reef that plunges down as deep as 25-50 metres, with almost 100 different types of marine life just waiting for you to discover.
A range of sites will be chosen to suit your training sessions. The dives will be at a leisurely pace, with plenty of time for you to build on your new skills. There can be no doubt – this is learning to freedive in one of the most incredible locations in the world.
Your Home For The Week
Your accommodation during your stay is pure luxury, yet mindful of maintaining a low eco-footprint.
The resort offers 12 large, traditionally-built villas, including one family villa with two bedrooms, and one villa near the Long House for those who may have difficulty walking.
Maid service provides the ultimate service, with your room being prepared for you each night upon your return from dinner.
Each room is equipped with:
- A top notch water dispenser providing bot hot and cold water.
- Tea & Coffee
- Bug spray
- Salon quality hair dryers
- Organic Shampoo & Conditioner
- Dressing Gowns
- Beach bags
A major focal point of the resort is a free form infinity pool, with sun-loungers and easy access to the bar, for those who want to spend time above, rather than below, the water.
The chill-out cocktail bar is very popular – a great place to sit and have a sun downer. Like most places they will run you a tab until the end of the week. They have a full stocked bar with lovely wines, spirits , and the local beer Bintang.
There is a full-service restaurant (where we have it on good authority that the food here is out of this world). Meals are all freshly prepared. In the morning you will have a buffet option with cereals, yogurts and a hot selection of both Western and Indonesian foods. There is also a wide range of Indonesian and international cuisine for your main meals.
Activities Available During Your Freediving Holiday In Indonesia
The resort has 7 boats – and can dedicate one to our group. All of the boats have showers on-board, and a proper toilet! They have sun areas for sun worshipers too! But best of all they can take us to the most amazing dive spots in the region so you’ll have a chance to train on lines, in confined water, and recreationally freedive on the reefs where you can see the most incredible array of underwater life.
Included in the package for your freediving holiday in Indonesia are two yoga and breathing classes a day, including the profoundly relaxing practice of yoga nidra under the stars.
The resort also offers the option to take advantage of its tranquil Spa – another way to wind down after a day’s diving. There is an extensive menu of treatments all performed by fully-trained therapists.
If you want to further your freediving qualifications there will be a number of freediving courses available during your stay.
