Important documents:
Here is your RAID Freediver Course Package (*click to download) – this contains more details about your course content, what to expect, where it’s taking place and recommended accommodation. Within this package (on page 9) are five important documents you need to print, sign and bring with you at the commencement of your course. They are also listed (with links) below, for your convenience:
• Terms and Conditions – these are the terms and conditions of your course booking.
• Medical Statement – you need to print this out, complete it and bring it with you on the course.
• RAID Freediving Liability Release & Assumption of Risk Agreement – you need to print this out, complete it and bring it with you on the course
• Go Freediving Instructor Liability Release – you need to print this out, complete it and bring it with you on the course.
• RAID Declaration of Safe Diving Practices and Statement of Understanding – you need to print this out, complete it and bring it with you on the course.
IMPORTANT!If you answer ‘yes’ to any of the Medical Statement questions, you’ll need to get clearance from your GP before taking the course. Make sure your GP is clear that you’re freediving and not scuba diving as there can be a difference – we’re happy to talk to your GP if necessary.
Register with RAID
Finally, you need to register with RAID and complete your course theory work. You can do this at http://freedivingraid.com/– select Register at the top of the screen (you can find further information about this in your course package)
PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST COMPLETE THE THEORY WORKBEFORE THE WEEKEND OF YOUR COURSE
If you fail to complete the necessary theory work or fail the final exam, you won’t be allowed in the water on the weekend of your course (don’t worry, you’re allowed to refer to the course manual!).
If you’ve any questions that we have not covered in this notice or document links please feel free to get in touch via email.
We’re looking forward to seeing you in the water soon!
