Whether you are someone who has never freedived and are simply looking for your next challenge, are an experienced freediver preparing for competition or wishing to update and maintain skills and training, or a spearfisher or scuba diver looking to improve and enhance your experience underwater, our summer courses are an excellent opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge to be a safe and competent freediver.
If you are new to the world of freediving there are usually two recommended courses you can choose from when you start your freediving journey with us. They are the RAID Freediver Course and the Foundation Freediver Course. We also offer returning sessions for all students and freedivers looking to cross-over from another programme, or return to freediving after an extended break.
Our courses run from June (sometimes a little sooner) through to October, with several courses running every month – including midweek courses.
RAID Freediver Course
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to level up your skills, the RAID Freediver course is your gateway to the incredible world of freediving.
Over an exhilarating two-day experience—typically held over a weekend at the fantastic venue of Vobster Quay – you’ll master the essential techniques of freediving while building confidence and control beneath the surface. Designed for both beginners and intermediate divers, this course with Go Freediving offers expert instruction, hands-on practice, and a supportive environment to help you unlock your full potential.

Foundation Freediver Course
Perfect for beginner freedivers, spearfishers, scuba divers, children 12 years and older, the RAID Foundation Freediver course is the perfect introduction to our rewarding sport
This one day course covers all the basic freediving techniques, water safety and breathing skills you need and offers continued development for all and leads to a certification to a depth of 5 metres. You are also able to undertake a follow-up course if you want to increase your certification level to the RAID Freediver (20 metres).
Returner Freediving Sessions
Perfect for any freedivers returning to the sport looking to update skills or existing students wishing to complete a current certification or prepare for the next level
Joining a full freediving course over one or two days, the Returning Student sessions from Go Freediving covers all the fundamentals you need to update, master, practice and sign off your skills needed to complete your certification.
Advanced Freediver Course
Improve your freediving performance with the RAID Advanced Freediver course.
By the end of the weekend you skills, technical ability, breath hold and confidence means you could be diving to depths up to 30m in the most relaxed and safe manner possible. You’ll dive submerged boats, trucks, cars and planes, through shoals of beautiful fish and learn new skills to take your freediving to the next level.
